Our "Girls"

So a friend asked me to take pics of our chickens, and we had fun trying to get them to hold still.

This is one of our Rhode Island Red/Americanas they lay medium sized green eggs. They are beautiful birds. But these ones do not like to be handled, especially since you can't hold them well because they are so big! We have named these ones Sasperilla and sasafrass

This is one of our Bantys, They are Gorgeous birds and personally my favorites! The have not laid eggs yet because they are molting...that is where they lose their feathers and get new ones. They do not lay eggs for 3-6 weeks .We have named them Susie and Sarah,These birds love to cuddle and you can carry them around the house and pet them. They love it.

This is a Silkie, it is a white chicken with an afro (no pun intented)it has beautiful blue on the side of its face as well. this bird is very hard to handle, it always tries to fly away when you hold it.

We are unsure of the type of bird, but to me it looks like a pigeon (thuse what i have named it,Pidge)this bird likes to rest on your finger at times as shown in the picture. It is also very curious and escapes her box alot.We just got this bird and the Silkie yesterday,so we do not know much about them. If you have any information please comment,we would like to know more.
